Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC)

Unlock your potential with Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC) tailored for ADHD. If you struggle with focus, motivation, or following through on tasks, CBC can help you build practical strategies to manage your ADHD and thrive in everyday life, work, and study. Online sessions are also available for convenience.

What is Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC)?

Cognitive Behavioural Coaching is a structured, goal-oriented coaching approach that draws on evidence-based principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBC is focused on practical strategies for improving performance, productivity, and daily functioning.

CBC helps you:

  • Understand how your thoughts, habits, and environment affect your actions
  • Develop ADHD-friendly routines and systems
  • Build confidence and reduce frustration
  • Achieve meaningful goals without relying solely on willpower

How CBC Supports Adults with ADHD

Living with ADHD can present unique challenges. Adults with ADHD often face:

  • Difficulty starting or completing tasks
  • Time management and organisational challenges
  • Procrastination and overwhelm
  • Negative self-talk or low confidence

CBC addresses these challenges by:

  • Breaking tasks into small, manageable steps
  • Designing external supports like timers, reminders, and structured routines
  • Changing unhelpful thinking patterns that hold you back
  • Focusing on practical, achievable action instead of perfection

Online sessions allow flexible access, so you can receive coaching from the comfort of your home, wherever you are in North Lanarkshire or beyond.

What to Expect from Cognitive Behavioural Coaching

Your CBC sessions are practical, structured, and supportive. We will:

  1. Identify your current challenges and patterns
  2. Set clear, achievable goals
  3. Explore strategies and options suited to your ADHD brain
  4. Create a step-by-step plan with supports and accountability
  5. Review progress and adjust strategies each session

Coaching is collaborative – it’s about building strategies that work for you, not forcing you to change overnight.
