ADHD Coaching – Helping You Thrive With ADHD
What Is ADHD Coaching?
ADHD coaching is all about working with you, not against you. It’s a collaborative, strengths-based approach designed to help people with ADHD — or those who suspect they might have it — develop practical strategies, build confidence, and achieve their goals.
As an ADHD coach in Glenboig, North Lanarkshire, I help you understand how your brain works best and create systems that support your natural strengths. Coaching isn’t about “fixing” ADHD — it’s about empowering you to make your life work with your brain, rather than against it.
How ADHD Coaching Helps
Living with ADHD comes with its challenges — like time management, staying organised, or keeping motivated — but it also comes with unique strengths: creativity, energy, and innovative thinking. ADHD coaching helps you make the most of your strengths while developing realistic, practical strategies for everyday life.
Through coaching, you can:
- Identify your strengths, values, and priorities
- Improve planning, organisation, and focus
- Create routines that actually work for you
- Reduce overwhelm and boost productivity
- Build self-awareness and confidence
- Set meaningful goals and follow through
Coaching vs Therapy
Coaching is future-focused and action-oriented. While therapy often explores emotions and past experiences, ADHD coaching is about taking practical steps to reach your goals.
I’m also trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), which means I bring insight into emotional regulation and self-awareness — but coaching itself is not therapy. It works alongside therapy or medication, providing structure, accountability, and ongoing support.
No Diagnosis? No Problem
You don’t need a formal ADHD diagnosis to benefit from coaching. Many people come because they recognise ADHD traits in themselves or find focus, motivation, or organisation tricky.
Coaching is for anyone who wants to:
- Be more productive
- Manage time better
- Build confidence
- Create routines that actually fit their life
Access to Work ADHD Support
If you have ADHD and are employed or self-employed in the UK, you may be eligible for government funding through Access to Work.
This can cover ADHD coaching and other workplace adjustments to help you perform at your best. I can guide you through the application process, help you prepare supporting information, and ensure coaching is tailored to your professional needs.
What to Expect from Coaching
Every coaching journey is personal, but typically includes:
- Initial Consultation – A relaxed chat about your goals, challenges, and what you hope to achieve.
- Ongoing Coaching Sessions – Weekly or fortnightly sessions to develop practical strategies, stay accountable, and track progress.
- Support Between Sessions – Optional check-ins or tools to keep you motivated and help you apply what you’ve learned.
Coaching provides a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore what works best for you.
Who Can Benefit
ADHD coaching can support a wide range of people, including:
- Adults managing workload, organisation, or life balance
- Students improving study skills, motivation, and time management
- Parents supporting a child with ADHD or managing their own neurodivergence
